Adventure Cinema invited me to document their Dirty Dancing outdoor screening at Borde Hill Estate on 6 September 2024. The goal was to capture the magic of this cult classic under the stars on the South Lawn – showing both the film moments and the guest experience from picnic set-ups to evening ambience.

I worked in a photo-journalistic style, starting with wide-angle shots of the historic Elizabethan mansion glowing behind the massive screen and audiences nestled on blankets. As dusk fell, I captured close-up reactions during Patrick Swayze’s most memorable scenes, candid laughter at Baby’s first “lift,” and the shared excitement as blankets and lanterns created a warm, communal atmosphere.

The final gallery delivered Adventure Cinema a rich set of visuals – perfect for social media teasers, website features, and marketing campaigns. These images not only sell the experience of an open-air cinema night but also showcase Borde Hill’s unique setting, helping Adventure Cinema drive ticket sales for future seasons.
